Ramesh Sistla is the founder and MD of thinkMolecular, a startup focused on molecular simulations to advance drug discovery. The startup designs small molecule therapeutics in collaboration with global biotechs.

He builds on his previous experience as the CADD groups at BMS(BBRC) in Syngene and prior to that at Aurigene. His group was responsible for supporting the inventions led by 100+ strong medicinal chemistry group across India and US. This has led to his being a co-inventor in more than thirty patents and 15 research publications until now.

Ramesh has a Ph. D. in condensed matter physics from IIT Madras and worked in computational biology at the MBU in IISc for his post-doctoral research. His current areas of research include molecular recognition of ligands by target proteins, role of water in the protein-ligand interactions, metabolism prediction and AI/ML approaches along with physics-based methods.
