E. V. S. Prakasa Rao, presently an Honorary Scientist, CSIR-Fourth Paradigm Institute, Bangalore, was Former Head, Central Institute of Medicinal and Aromatic Plants, Research Centre, Bangalore. His expertise is Agronomy, Natural Resources Management, Climate change mitigation and adaptation in agriculture, Medicinal and Aromatic Plants and application of digital technologies in agriculture. He obtained M. Sc and PhD in Agronomy from Indian Agricultural Research Institute, New Delhi. He published over 153 papers in international and Indian journals, 130 conference papers and delivered 95 invited lectures. He is a Fellow of the National Academy of Agricultural Sciences, Indian Society of Agronomy, Indian Society of Spices. His recognitions include the Indian Society of Agronomy Gold Medal; Fertilizer Association of India Silver Jubilee Award of Excellence, Potash and Phosphate Institute of Canada-FAI Award, and International Phosphate Institute-FAI Award. He was Co-Editor-in-Chief, Indian J Agronomy. He is an Executive Committee Member of the National Academy of Agricultural Sciences.
