Dr Bharat Char is Chief Science Officer at Mahyco Private Limited, Jalna, India. He obtained his PhD in Biochemistry and Molecular Biology at the University of Southern California Medical School, Los Angeles, USA, and undertook postdoctoral work at the University of California, Berkeley, USA, in plant molecular genetics. His responsibilities include oversight of the Technology Group and Regulatory programs at the company. He has served on national and international committees in the seed industry.
