The initiative we support takes an ecologically holistic approach, building on insights from earlier restoration models while moving beyond carbon-centric tree plantations. The aim is to recreate a small, sustainable version of the region’s native ecosystems, including open natural habitats. This approach fosters richer biodiversity, supports a wider range of plant and animal life, and helps preserve the area’s unique ecological character.
