Dr. Gagandeep Kang, is an MD PhD from CMC Vellore and a Fellow of the Royal College of Pathologists. She heads the Wellcome Trust Research Laboratory at CMC, Vellore. She is also the Executive Director of the Translational Health Science Institute at Faridabad in Delhi. She is an accomplished scientist and leader and has many honors to her benefit including being elected as a Fellow of the Royal Society. She is a member of Product Development Vaccine Advisory Committee of WHO and chairs the Immunization Technical Advisory Group (ITAG) for the WHO’s South East Asian Region. She serves in many national and international committees and helped develop Rotavac, India’s first indigenous vaccine against Rotaviral infections.
